Websites when I don’t know where to look at when I’m searching for commentary
Who cares for websites?? Go and ask ChatGPT or DeepSeek. - NO, that’s wrong, don’t do that! Hehehehe, just kidding ;)
Some of my favorite websites and channels that both design is immaculate as well as the information inside. I had to make this list because sometimes even I forget the existence of these wonderful sites.
Note: These are all art based recommendations
When I identify the location of a particular artwork, I also enjoy looking the museums official website such as;
Museum Of Modern Art, Istanbul
Especially, if you are searching for a piece that is not displayed presently, I highly recommend checking out the “collections” part of the museum’s websites. I recently discovered this part becuase previously “collection” parts on the thumbnails never attracted my attention.
Also, I highly like listening the art from the artist itself, so when museums or galleries have an upcoming or present exhibition about their artist they usually feature them on their YouTube channel with an interview or a kind of self-explanatory video. It is really refreshing to hear their thoughts about art and how they perceive things in life (because you get to see how they reflect this aspect on their art).
My holly grail, the best channel on YouTube. Both Dr. Steven Zucker and Dr. Beth Harris are amazing, the accents, the passion towards the art. If you still don’t know their channel you must watch NOW!
Deep attention into a specific artwork or a concept, good if you need to have deeper understanding on a subject.
I love him, extremely straight to the point. Don’t have time for a bunch of art thing— just listen to him.
Has the coolest channel name in the whole ArtTube, I am jealous. Good for analysis of the artworks.
You know what? I have learned a lot from them. A different perspective on art world and art business.
Pure information, I love their “A Brief History of …” videos
An insight into artists self-expression
Thank me later!
