Graffiti Tour- The Bushwick Collective

I already knew about New York's strong ties to graffiti culture before I even visited here, and how important the city was to the development and internationalization of graffiti as an art form. But going on NYC: Brooklyn Graffiti & Street Art Walking Tour and seeing it for myself opened my eyes to a completely other viewpoint.

More than just street markings, graffiti is a complex language of urban communication, reflecting both social dynamics and individual creativity. Once dismissed as mere vandalism, it has evolved into a globally recognized art form, now featured in galleries and appreciated for its artistic and cultural significance. What was once an outlaw art has moved beyond the streets, bridging the gap between rebellion and recognition.
