Chiharu Shiota- Between Worlds

Shiota's dystopic world building with red threads is admirable. The artist connects memories through travel, expressing a dimension between our world and another reality. When you visit Chiharu Shiota's exhibition at the Istanbul Modern Art Museum, you step away from the reality we live in and into the universe Shiota created. I was attracted by the arrangement of the threads, which reminded me of a spider waistcoat. It was extremely delicate and well-established.
